Back to school actually means 100 years school-building transformation into series of living apartments. Teacher lounges, classrooms, canteens, every space was turned into unconventional 10 loft-looking apartments and range in size from 1,000 square feet to 1,500 square feet. The whole conversion project is named Ons Dorp and it’s renovated by Amsterdam firm CASA Architecten in collaboration with Dutch office Standard Studio. According to Moco Sumbissions, sustainable technologies like solar technology, ground source heat pumps, insulation, green roofs etc. have been used to obtain a almost passive null-emission building.
