The Stacking Green House is a tube house, which is common in countries with furious urban sprawl. Located in the tropical climate of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, commonly known as Saigon, one of the most densely populated cities in the world.
In designing this narrow three-storey house, Vo Trong Nghia was thinking about this problem (the lack of green city areas) and created stuninning residential house with one giant vertical garden. There were few reasons to incorporate a green wall. One of them – to clean the air, because plants allow for natural ventilation. The second one is to reduce air borned pollutants in the home. And finanlly, to cool the building while also offering shade and privacy. The greenery is watered using an integrated irrigation system.
